Syrian opposition group claims Bashar al-Assad was hospitalized in Moscow after being poisoned. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported Assad was admitted to a Moscow hospital on September 20 in critical condition, allegedly due to poisoning. He reportedly received treatment in a highly secure facility. Assad, who has been in exile in Russia since his regime fell in December 2024, has since been discharged and is in stable condition. This is not the first unconfirmed report of an assassination attempt against him.
