Sydney to experience severe heatwave this weekend

Sydney will experience a heatwave this weekend, with temperatures expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius on Sunday. This is nearly 10 degrees above the average for mid-March. Severe heatwave warnings are also in effect for parts of New South Wales. A cold front is predicted to arrive late Sunday or early Monday, bringing strong winds and a temperature drop to around 25 degrees. While the winds will be strong, they may not reach the intensity of a typical southerly buster. Overnight temperatures will remain warm, staying above 20 degrees. The strong winds are expected to continue into Monday and Tuesday before easing.
