Sydney court reveals video of man kidnapped by brother-in-law and accomplices

A Sydney court revealed video footage of a kidnapping that occurred on January 11, 2023. The incident involved Younis Younis being assaulted by his brother-in-law, Kodar Faytrouni, and three others, who traveled from Melbourne to carry out the attack. The court heard that Faytrouni believed Younis married his sister for a visa. The video showed Younis being put in a headlock and later assaulted at his mother’s home. Police intervened hours later, stopping the attackers' car. All four men have pleaded guilty to kidnapping charges. Sentencing for Faytrouni and Abud Elkerdi has been postponed until December 20, while Ali Hamad and Safwan Hussein will return to court on December 13.
