Residential property prices in Switzerland rose in August compared to the previous month, driven primarily by a surge in single-family home prices, according to real estate platform Immoscout. Single-family home asking prices increased by 1.0 percent nationwide, while condominium prices rose a more modest 0.3 percent. Regional gains for houses were widespread, led by Central Switzerland (+3.7%), Ticino (+2.6%), and the Mittelland region (+2.3%), though Lake Geneva saw a 1.1 percent decline. For condominiums, Eastern Switzerland saw the strongest increase at 1.8 percent, but prices fell in four regions, including Central Switzerland, Ticino, and the greater Zurich area.
