Swedish authorities seize luxury cars worth 100 million kronor

Confiscated luxury cars are generating significant revenue for the state. A new law allows police to seize assets, like cars, if they are likely acquired through criminal activity, even without a direct crime suspicion. Currently, police hold around 70 cars under this law. The Swedish Enforcement Authority has seized assets worth approximately 100 million SEK in 2024, with luxury cars making up 90% of last year's seizures.
