Sweden's hockey team plays in blue for charity

Sweden's national hockey team, Tre Kronor, will wear their away jerseys, typically blue, for their home game today, Saturday, May 10, 2025. This is for a charitable cause. The team is playing in blue against Austria in Stockholm, despite being the home team, to ensure they wear the away jerseys at least once during the tournament. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the World Championship. Proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit Tre Kronor's Hockey School, a program run by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association for young children to learn to skate and play hockey.
