Survivor of 3,000ft fall remarries nearly ten years after husband's attempted murder

Victoria Cilliers, who survived a 3,000ft fall after her husband tampered with her parachute, has remarried. She wed Simon Goodman, a fellow skydiving enthusiast, at a small ceremony last weekend, nearly ten years after her near-fatal incident. Emile Cilliers, Victoria's ex-husband, was convicted of attempted murder and received an 18-year prison sentence. Victoria suffered serious injuries in the 2015 fall but later became a key witness in his trial. Victoria and Simon began dating in 2018 at the same parachute club. Simon, a former Royal Marine, is now an apprentice paramedic. Victoria described him as her "rock" and noted their shared social circle helped build trust.
