Supervisory failure killed three Jawahar Nagar power plant workers

Three workers died in an accident at a Jawahar Nagar power plant due to "supervisory failure," prompting a ₹15 lakh compensation for each family. The workers, employed at a solid waste management facility, fell from scaffolding when a supporting rope snapped while working on the power plant's chimney. The workers were carrying a heavy load of bricks when the accident occurred. The facility is managed by Hyderabad Integrated Municipal Solid Waste Limited, a Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited subsidiary. ₹4 lakh of the compensation was paid on Friday, May 9, 2025.
