Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority reduces port and cargo fees to support traders

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has reduced port and cargo fees by 5% to help traders manage rising global fuel costs. These measures, approved on April 8, include lower tariffs on vessel and cargo charges, and extended free storage for non-containerized goods. The SBMA expects these initiatives to provide approximately P76 million in fiscal relief over one year, supporting investor confidence and supply chain stability.
