Consumer watchdog Which? analyzed 175 products from major retailers for six months around last year's Black Friday, finding 83% were cheaper or the same price on other dates. The findings suggest Black Friday often relies on hype, with some independent retailers opting for alternative promotions or focusing on benefits beyond discounts.
