Studio Élan's magical girl yuri visual novel seeks funding

Studio Élan, known for yuri visual novels like *Highway Blossoms*, launched a Kickstarter for a new game, *Lock & Key: A Magical Girl Mystery*. This marks a shift for the studio, moving into the magical girl genre with a romantic thriller storyline. *Lock & Key* features a married lesbian couple as protagonists, a clairvoyant PI and her shapeshifting wife. The game is planned to be six to eight hours long, with a 70,000-word script. A stretch goal includes English voice acting, requiring a $20,000 fundraising milestone. The Kickstarter, launched today, is already over 20% funded, with various pledge tiers available. The game is currently planned for Steam and itch.io release. The developers have also released a demo to build anticipation.
