Strong competitions highlight second day of Alappuzha school arts festival

The Alappuzha Revenue District School Arts Festival continued with strong competitions on its second day. Events included Bharatanatyam, drama, and poetry recitation. Mavelikara subdistrict led the overall points table with 243 points, closely followed by Chengannur and Cherthala. In the Higher Secondary School category, Thuravoor subdistrict topped with 125 points. Chengannur led the High School (general) category with 98 points, while Ambalappuzha was first in the Upper Primary (general) category with 47 points. The festival, which began on November 28, officially opened on Friday by MLA U. Prathibha. It will run until December 3 across 13 venues, with around 5,000 students participating in 316 events.
