Street artist accuses AirAsia of unauthorized use of his mural on aircraft

independent.co.uk

Street artist Ernest Zacharevic has discovered that AirAsia is using his mural, "Children On A Bicycle," on one of its planes without his permission. He painted the mural in 2012 in Penang, Malaysia, where it attracts many tourists. Zacharevic posted about the unauthorized use on social media, tagging AirAsia and its founder. He noted that this is not the first time the airline has used his work without consent, despite previous attempts to contact them. He expressed difficulty in reaching the right person at AirAsia to discuss the issue. Zacharevic is unsure how many planes feature his artwork, having only seen one so far.
