A stray dog in Timmins, Ontario, has been rescued after being on the run for over a week. Volunteers, led by Shawn Ouimette, tracked the dog through social media posts and sightings across the city. On March 6, Ouimette began organizing the search. The dog, nicknamed "the 655 dog," was spotted in various locations, making it difficult to catch. On Wednesday, Ouimette finally encountered the dog on a snowmobile trail. Using treats, Ouimette managed to capture the dog after a brief struggle. The dog has since been checked by a veterinarian and is now in a foster home. Its origins and owner remain unknown.
