Strava app reveals movements of world leaders including Biden and Trump, report says
A French newspaper, Le Monde, reported that the movements of world leaders, including U.S. President Joe Biden and Donald Trump, can be tracked through the Strava fitness app used by their bodyguards. The U.S. Secret Service stated that it does not believe this compromises security. Le Monde's investigation revealed that some U.S. Secret Service agents and security staff for leaders like French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin have public Strava accounts. This allows their movements to be monitored, potentially leading to security risks. In response, the U.S. Secret Service emphasized that agents are not allowed to use personal devices while on duty. Macron's office downplayed the risks, stating that security measures are in place for the president's movements.
