Stowaway charged after hiding in plane bathroom on flight from New York to Paris

Svetlana Dali has been charged in federal court for allegedly boarding a Delta flight from New York City to Paris on November 26 without a ticket. She reportedly bypassed security checkpoints at JFK Airport. Dali was discovered by flight crew members during the flight and was detained upon arrival in Paris. She returned to New York on December 4, where she admitted to flying as a stowaway. Her attorney has compared her actions to "turnstile hopping." Dali faces up to five years in prison and has not yet entered a plea.
