Storm Herminia to bring 80mph winds to UK as recovery from Storm Eowyn continues

Storm Herminia is set to hit the UK with winds over 80 mph, just two days after Storm Eowyn caused gusts of 100 mph. Flood warnings are in effect across the South West, with over 18 warnings and 123 alerts issued. The Met Office has issued yellow warnings for wind and rain across much of England and Wales. Power cuts and flooding have been reported, with residents advised to avoid coastal areas due to dangerous waves. While Storm Herminia is expected to be less severe than Eowyn, gusts of 60 to 70 mph are still possible in the far south west.
