The BBC removed episodes featuring Jay, who has been with the show since it started in 2017. The Repair Shop, filmed in West Sussex, focuses on fixing treasured items brought in by the public. Filming for the new series began in May without Jay, as he took a break following the reported murder of his uncle. Around the same time, Jay and Lisa announced their split on social media. In September, Jay indicated he was back at work, sharing that he had completed filming for the season. He expressed his feelings about the end of filming, describing it as a close to a cherished book. In October, Jay pleaded not guilty to the charges, which claim his behavior affected Lisa and caused her fear. He is set to face trial in May. The Repair Shop is scheduled to air on Wednesdays at 8 PM on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
