Staten Island Little League field gets major upgrade with new turf infield

Staten Island's Hy Turkin Little League field has received a significant upgrade with the installation of a turf infield, replacing its long-standing dirt surface. This change, funded by community fundraisers, aims to improve playability and eliminate drainage issues. The project, completed in under three weeks at a cost of approximately $250,000, allows the field to host both baseball and softball games.
