State opens modern food, drug testing labs

Modern food and drug testing labs are set to open in twelve divisions of the state by July, significantly increasing the capacity to detect adulteration. These new state-of-the-art facilities, equipped with advanced testing machinery, will be located in cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, and Saharanpur. The project also includes modernizing existing labs and creating new positions for 1,200 lab technicians. The initiative aims to boost the state's ability to test food and drug samples, with food sample testing projected to increase by 300% and drug sample testing by 450%.
