Stanford's ReachBot aids Moon and Mars cave exploration

Researchers from Stanford University have developed ReachBot, a robotic explorer designed for navigating caves and lava tubes on the Moon and Mars. The study, published in Science Robotics, highlights ReachBot's unique mechanical design, enabling it to maneuver difficult terrains. Field tests in the Mojave Desert's lava tubes showed its potential for future exploration, coinciding with NASA's Artemis missions aimed at lunar exploration.
