Stamford rider Jacob Bush takes on first Tour of Britain

A 21-year-old cyclist from Stamford is competing in his first Tour of Britain against seasoned professionals. Jacob Bush is representing the Great Britain Cycling Team in the 565-mile race. The race started Wednesday in Lincoln and included the gruelling Michaelgate climb. Bush, who switched from alpine skiing to road cycling after the pandemic, won silver at the 2026 National Criterium Championships. Stage two runs from Boston to Skegness, while stage three goes from Hull to Beverley. Bush said the first two stages are special because they start in his home county of Lincolnshire.
