Spider-Man: Brand New Day took $144.5 million domestically in its second weekend, reaching $1.67 billion worldwide and becoming the year's top-grossing film. The Sony-Marvel film’s $655.1 million domestic haul is the fastest ever to that total, and it displaced "Toy Story 5" as the year’s top movie. Nolan’s "The Odyssey" added $31.5 million domestically, crossing $1 billion globally and becoming his biggest hit. Both films help drive Hollywood’s best post-pandemic year, with ticket sales up 18.5 percent and summer revenue nearing $4 billion. New comedies "One Night Only" and "Super Troopers 3" opened weakly.
