Special weather statement for Western New York counties

A special weather statement was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 10:10 a.m. for Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Erie counties. The statement is in effect until noon. Light flurries and freezing drizzle are occurring in parts of the Western Southern Tier and Boston Hills. This may create slick spots, especially on bridges and walkways. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing later today, ending the flurries and drizzle as drier air moves in.
