Spanish women's relays qualify for Tokyo World Championships
The Spanish women's 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams have qualified for the World Championships in Tokyo this summer after strong performances at the World Relays in Guangzhou. The 4x100m team, comprised of Cladera, Bestué, Sevilla, and Pérez, won their race in a record-breaking 42.18 seconds, a new Spanish record. The 4x400m team, featuring Sevilla, Santidrián, Fra, and Hervás, also secured a spot with a time of 3:26.25. The World Relays in China also saw mixed results for other Spanish teams, with the mixed 4x100m team failing to finish and the mixed 4x400m team narrowly missing qualification. The men's 4x100m and 4x400m teams will have another chance to qualify on Sunday.
