Southern Haryana to gain most from approved water-sharing plan

Southern Haryana will benefit most from the approved water-sharing plan, which aims to address long-standing water scarcity. The approximately 30,000 crore rupee project will bring Yamuna river water via pipelines from Hathnikund Barrage to Bhiwani and Dadri districts, improving drinking and irrigation water levels in tail-end areas. This initiative, supported by former minister Jai Prakash Dalal and current CM Nayab Singh Saini, also includes a proposal for a parallel state highway, offering multifaceted advantages to the region.
