South Korean startup unveils AI solar boat that cleans 2.5 million liters of river water daily

South Korean startup Ecopeace has introduced the Healing Boat, an AI-driven solar vessel that cleans 2.5 million liters of river water daily. This innovative boat also offers guided tours and transforms into a food truck at night. Ecopeace CEO Chae-in Won unveiled the Healing Boat at the CES 2025 Global Media Meetup in Seoul on December 13. The boat uses solar energy and AI to filter contaminants while providing a platform for river viewing. The Healing Boat will receive the CES Innovation Award in January 2025. Ecopeace has also created smaller robots that filter between 100,000 to 500,000 liters of water daily, aiming to improve global freshwater management.
