South Korea admits responsibility for abusive overseas adoptions

South Korea has officially acknowledged its responsibility for abusive overseas adoptions of tens of thousands of children. This admission follows decades of international adoptions, primarily of mixed-race children, after the Korean War, with over 140,000 children sent abroad between 1955 and 1999.
