South Caucasus Pipeline costs rise 25% to $60 million for Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey

South Caucasus Pipeline expenses reached $60 million in the first half of 2026, up 25 percent year-on-year, according to BP's Azerbaijan activity report for the period. Operating costs accounted for $41 million and capital expenditures $19 million. The pipeline's average daily export throughput capacity during the six months was 63.7 million cubic meters, the report said. Commissioned in late 2006, the pipeline transports Shah Deniz gas to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey. Operator functions transferred from BP to SOCAR Midstream Operations on July 1, 2026.
