South Canterbury Military Fair showcases military history and unique collections

The South Canterbury Military Fair returns for its third year at Phar Lap Raceway, showcasing military history through various displays and sales. Organizers aim to build on past successes with more private collections and unique items. New this year, attendees can dress in military costumes. The fair will also feature experts available to appraise personal military items, similar to an antiques roadshow. Malcolm Brady will display his collection of military lamps, including a notable signal lamp from Gallipoli, dated 1911. The event takes place on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm, with men charged $10 for entry, while women and children enter free.
