South African mill manager charged with cheating multinational over crude palm oil

A mill manager faces charges for allegedly cheating his former employer, a multinational company, out of 741.6 tonnes of crude palm oil in 2024. The accused, TR Logeswaran, pleaded not guilty to the charge of making a false declaration. He is accused of deceiving the company between March and June 2024. Bail was set at RM10,000, and the court denied requests for him to surrender his passport or report to the police monthly, citing his overseas employment and family responsibilities.
