Sopela Kosta Fest returns September 18-20 with surf, nature, and family activities

The Sopela Kosta Fest will return from September 18-20, transforming Sopela into a hub for surf, sea, and nature enthusiasts. The festival will feature a broad program spanning from the town center to its beaches. This edition's main change is the absence of concerts, with organizers focusing instead on sports, nature, culture, and leisure for all ages. Events include the VI Open Waveski, the III Basque Surf Circuit, and the kayak-surf world cup with paddlers from 16 countries. The program also features citizen activities like adapted surfing, family surf, slackline, and parkour. Environmental initiatives include the Zabor Bilketa Basatia waste collection, guided nature and geological Flysch routes, creative workshops, a children's scavenger hunt, and a photo exhibition.
