Sony Animation and Amazon MGM Studios partner for fifth Hotel Transylvania movie, releasing in fall 2027

Sony Pictures Animation and Amazon MGM Studios are co-producing the fifth Hotel Transylvania movie, "The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania," set for theatrical release on October 8, 2027. This marks the franchise's return to cinemas after the fourth film, "Hotel Transylvania: Transformania," was released on streaming. Sony will handle North American distribution, while Amazon/MGM will manage international territories. The "Hotel Transylvania" series, which began in 2012, follows Dracula and his monster family. The latest installment sees Mavis running the hotel when unexplained spooky events occur.
