Sonam Wangchuk denies foreign links to Cockroach Janta Party, cites follower data

Activist Sonam Wangchuk denied foreign influence on the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) during a podcast, citing follower analytics and conversations to refute claims of links to Pakistan, Bangladesh, or the US. Wangchuk said data showed 94 percent of CJP's followers were from India, with only six percent from abroad, which he deemed low-risk. He added that direct calls with members convinced him they were not working for any foreign power. Wangchuk supported the CJP's cause over exam irregularities, which led to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation in July. He noted 20 student suicides motivated his backing, though he welcomed investigations into founder Abhijeet Dipke's credentials.
