Somerset father convicted of murdering infant son

Tony Bartlett has been convicted of murdering his four-week-old son, Atticus. The jury found Bartlett guilty of causing fatal injuries to the infant. Bartlett shook his son at their home in Somerset on July 16, 2022, after consuming up to nine pints of beer. The baby suffered severe brain damage, spinal cord, and rib injuries. Atticus died seven days later in hospital. Bartlett faces a life sentence when he is sentenced on July 24.
