Slimming World founder Margaret Miles-Bramwell has died

Margaret Miles-Bramwell, founder and chair of Slimming World, has died at 76. She started the weight-loss organization in 1969 in Alfreton, Derbyshire, which quickly expanded to 25 groups within a year. Today, Slimming World employs over 500 people and supports around 3,500 self-employed consultants across the UK and Ireland. Miles-Bramwell was recognized with an OBE in 2009 for her contributions, including establishing the charity Smiles, which raised over £30 million. She is survived by three children.
