Sjur Robert Nilsen, recently recovered from burnout and heart issues, has been appointed head coach of the Norwegian national ice hockey team. Nilsen, who also coaches Frisk Asker, took a leave of absence from his previous club, Sparta Sarpsborg, in March due to health reasons. He expressed he is in much better health now. Despite some criticism regarding the dual coaching roles, Norwegian Ice Hockey Association sports director Patrick Thoresen believes Nilsen's experience and focus will benefit both the national team and Frisk Asker.
