Sixers name Mike Gansey president of basketball operations, Elton Brand to new role

Mike Gansey is the new President of Basketball Operations for the Philadelphia 76ers, replacing Daryl Morey. Elton Brand will not return as General Manager but is expected to take on a new role within the organization or its parent company. Jameer Nelson is promoted to Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations. The team also extended assistant GM Prosper Karangwa and is preparing for the draft with Brand's assistance.
