Six-year-old Spanish girl dies after being hit by car in Vila do Bispo

A six-year-old Spanish girl died today after being hit by a car in Vila do Bispo, Faro district, according to GNR and Civil Protection sources. The accident occurred on Municipal Road 1257 in the Ingrina area, and her death was declared at the scene. The child was traveling with her parents, who had stopped their vehicle to admire the views but did not lock it. The girl opened the door and was struck by another vehicle whose driver did not notice her presence. The alert was raised at 6:20 PM. The incident mobilized 27 operatives from firefighters, INEM, and GNR, along with eight vehicles and an INEM helicopter that was not used. The child was of Spanish nationality.
