Sivaganga officials check waterbody rejuvenation progress
Officials in Sivaganga district reviewed the ongoing rejuvenation of irrigation water bodies, aiming to improve water access for agriculture and drinking. The review, led by the District Monitoring Officer, focused on the progress of restoration work on 442 micro-irrigation kanmais. A total of ₹34.30 crores has been allocated for the project, with inspections of various sites underway. The project aims to repair damaged irrigation channels and strengthen bunds before the monsoon season, ensuring efficient water usage across the district.
