SIP contributions in India exceed Rs 25,000 crore for the first time in October 2024

Monthly contributions to Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) in India reached a record Rs 25,323 crore in October 2024, surpassing Rs 24,509 crore in September. This is the first time SIP inflows have exceeded Rs 25,000 crore. October also saw 63.7 lakh new SIP accounts added, up from 58.7 lakh in September. The total number of SIP accounts now stands at 10.12 crore, a 2.5 percent increase from the previous month. SIP Assets Under Management grew to Rs 13.30 lakh crore, a 2.3 percent rise from September. The mutual fund industry continues to see strong inflows, marking 44 consecutive months of positive growth.
