Singapore DJ charged with sexual offenses involving minors

Radio DJ Gunalan Morgan has been charged with serious offenses, including sexual communication with a minor and voyeurism. The charges were brought against him on March 21, 2025, in Singapore. He faces a total of seven charges, with four related to sexual crimes. Gunalan, who works for Mediacorp's Tamil radio station Oli968, was immediately suspended after the company learned of his arrest. They have also served him with a termination notice but did not provide further comments. In court, Gunalan did not enter a plea. He mentioned plans to hire a lawyer for his case. The charges include communicating sexually with a minor between August 2024 and September 2024. He is also accused of deleting messages on Instagram after becoming aware of a police report against him, which adds a charge for obstructing justice. Additionally, Gunalan faces voyeurism charges for recording two women without their consent. These incidents reportedly occurred in August and October of last year. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 21. If convicted of these charges, he faces various potential penalties, including prison time, fines, or both.
