Singapore develops advanced security technologies for public safety
Singapore is developing new security technologies, including a handheld 3D scanner for fire investigations. This AI-equipped scanner can analyze fire scenes in 30 minutes, significantly reducing the previous investigation time of one month. The scanner, created by Manifold Tech, was showcased during a demo day on February 26, along with other innovations from 11 start-ups. The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is collaborating with these start-ups to enhance homeland security. Another innovation presented was an anti-drone attachment for rifles by US start-up ZeroMark. This device uses AI to track drone movements, improving targeting accuracy. HTX's program has seen over 800 applications and aims to address real-world public safety challenges.
