Silver ETF Strategy: Buy, Hold, or Sell as Prices Drop Below ₹2 Lakh
Silver prices in India fell below ₹2 lakh per kg on Friday, dropping over ₹6,000 to around ₹1.93 lakh, intensifying pressure on Silver ETF investors who must decide whether to hold, buy more, or sell amid global economic uncertainty and rising interest-rate concerns. The sell-off follows a ₹56,000 per kg plunge from August peaks, with international spot silver falling over 5% on Thursday. Experts advise decisions should depend on portfolio exposure size, investment horizon, and risk tolerance, warning that averaging down increases capital vulnerable to further losses. Technical indicators show weak near-term outlook, with support at ₹1.92–1.94 lakh and next at ₹1.83–1.85 lakh, while COMEX futures trade near $54. Silver has underperformed gold since October 9, falling 9.3% versus gold's 3.4% decline.
