Silicon Valley Shakespeare revives immersive 'A Christmas Carol' at Montalvo Arts Center

Silicon Valley Shakespeare is reviving Richard T. Orlando's adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" at Montalvo Arts Center, running from Dec. 8-21. This immersive production allows audiences to walk alongside Ebenezer Scrooge, enhancing the experience. Orlando's version, which has a long history, is being directed by his former mentees, including Angie Higgins. The show features site-specific scenes and a new roving format, with performances limited to 60 patrons each. The production has sold out in advance, reflecting a growing interest in holiday traditions. Silicon Valley Shakespeare has nearly doubled its revenues since the pandemic, partly due to outdoor performances and community engagement.
