Siena installs free open-stage music totems for young artists

lanazione.it (Italian) —

The city of Siena has installed two free "open stage" musical totems for people under 35, located at Villa Rubini Manenti and via Bernardo Tolomei, allowing users to sing and play instruments with amplification and a mixer. The installations, the first of their kind in Tuscany, were organized by the municipality on a proposal from youth policy councilor Micaela Papi. They aim to promote youth aggregation and artistic expression, with the launch celebrated by a live performance from singer-songwriter Celestesuona in Piazza del Campo. The compact devices provide quality sound suitable for public spaces, intended to enliven streets and combat urban decay. Organizers hope to extend the service's hours for at least another month, given the favorable October temperatures.
