Siberian farmer to launch first batch of local Nutella-style spread next year

ngs.ru (Russian) —

A farmer in Siberia plans to produce the first batch of a local hazelnut spread, similar to Nutella, as early as next year. Stanislav Danilichev is expanding his hazelnut orchard to achieve this goal. Danilichev leads the cooperative "Milk of Siberia" and planted the region's first hazelnut garden years ago. After a signal harvest in 2025, he is now expanding the orchard from one to ten hectares with over two thousand new seedlings. Russia currently meets only 5-7% of its domestic hazelnut demand. The farmer aims to fill this gap and process the nuts into a paste with butter, sugar, cocoa, and 60% hazelnuts.
