Shubman Gill Confirms Senior Players for 2027 World Cup, Praises Kohli and Rohit

India captain Shubman Gill has dismissed questions about the future of senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, confirming the current squad will be retained for the 2027 World Cup. He praised their recent performances. Gill highlighted that Kohli scored an unbeaten century in the first ODI and Rohit hit a hundred in the second, narrowly missing another with 92 runs in the third. He rejected calls to give younger players opportunities, citing the limited number of ODIs. The captain stated there is no time for experimentation and the team will continue with the same combination planned for the 2027 World Cup. India's next assignment is an ODI series against New Zealand after a month-long break.
