ShiftCam launches PLANCK, the world's smallest portable SSD for iPhone ProRes recording

ShiftCam introduced the PLANCK at CES 2025, claiming it to be the world's smallest portable SSD. Weighing just 10 grams, it connects directly to iPhones via USB-C and supports ProRes recording at 4K/120 on iPhone 15 Pro and later. The PLANCK offers transfer speeds of up to 1050 MB/s and is designed to be durable, being drop-proof and water-resistant. It will be available in 1TB and 2TB versions, priced at $189 and $299, respectively, launching in spring 2025. A Kickstarter campaign will start next month, offering preorders at discounted prices of $125 for 1TB and $199 for 2TB. ShiftCam also announced a USB-C hub for connecting multiple PLANCK SSDs, with pricing yet to be revealed.
