Shehbaz Sharif links Kashmir and Gaza struggles in UN speech

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the United Nations General Assembly, linking the struggles of Jammu and Kashmir to those of Palestine. He accused India of expanding its military capabilities and called for the reversal of the 2019 abrogation of Article 370. Sharif claimed India threatens to cross the Line of Control and take over Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. He emphasized the need for dialogue and adherence to UN Security Council resolutions regarding Kashmir, asserting that India has moved away from commitments to peace. In addition to Kashmir, Sharif discussed global issues, including the situation in Gaza and Ukraine. He condemned violence in Gaza and called for an end to conflicts in Ukraine and Afghanistan, urging action against terrorist groups operating in the region.
